Joint failover destination for Linux and Windows

For this configuration, a physical node using the Linux operating system and a second one using the Windows operating system will both have a failover destination to one VMware-Server with two different guest slots. This helps to minimize the hardware investment and increases the availability of both systems.

Many-to-One Disaster Recovery configuration

This configuration is typical for applications that will not work with more then one instance per node. Inside of the virtual server are different guest slots to host the application. One slot per physical node/application works as failover destination. This slots are absolutely independant. The performance of the application after failover depends on the size of the virtual machine.
